IDEAS for our own production of title sequences

We started the lesson out by being split into groups. Following we were given the assignment to come up with 4 ideas that could possible end up being the final idea for our title sequence. I found it quite hard to come up with for ideas because every time you think of something it is either a cliché or something you have stolen from somewhere else. It is very hard to be original.

My first idea the movie would be named ‘The Roommate’. The storyline would be about a girl getting a new roommate, but she starts realizing after some time that this girl is quite strange and as the film progresses we find out that this girl is completely obsessed with the girl that she moved in with and that she knew who she was before she moved in with her. The title sequence would be a series of close ups (inspired by se7en) so it is completely anonymous to begin with. In that series of shots we can see that this person is preparing for something and that she has been stalking this person that person, and she is planning to do something. We would see a couple of shots of her creating a book with all these different facts in and towards the end of the sequence we see her packing a suitcase and in the end she troughs in the book and the bag is closed so we kind of have the idea that she is the roommate that is moving in so it is like the bomb under the table that we know is going to happen.

Otto’s first idea in the title sequence would be filming some teenagers standing outside a tunnel, drinking and smoking, where it leads to the start challenging and daring each other. The one person then dares the other to go into the dark tunnel where as we enter the tunnel we follow the person that goes in. Following there comes a flash from something and he sees the face of someone right in front of him and then it goes dark again so both the audience and character has no idea where this person is our how far they are from them.

George’s first idea It is about a man getting dragged into a military base where after he gets questioned during him being drowned in water and water boarded as torture. The he gets interrogated while sitting on a chair while these men question him about some thing that he can’t answer or will not answer following he would either just be left in the place they are doing this to him or they would finish him off.
