Storyboarding the Sequence

Storyboarding

In our first lesson of storyboarding we drafted both ideas of A and B on just blank paper to get an idea of the story and what kind of shots would be interesting to create meaning for the story. George worked on Interrogation since that what his main idea so he knew more what he had in his head while thinking of the idea. I storyboarded the Roommate idea because that I had certain shots in my head for it. In the beginning of the year we had gotten some tips on how to storyboard while watching some youtube clips which helped.

In our second storyboard lesson, we went into depth, timing and angles. We got special pieces of paper, with empty squares for the drawing and on the right side there was a box where you had to fill out what nr shot it was, which angle it was and how long we though the shot would take. It was quite difficult having to write down everything you want to do before you are in the actual situation where you might want to change something, but as I have done a similar task to this one, storyboarding is so important, it makes you remember a lot of detail and makes you keep focus. We did some stick-figure drawings that weren’t exact but you get the point, and we tried to be certain about the timing but it will probably change over time.
